Farming in the Good ‘ole Days

This year at the Threshermen’s:
We planted 83 day corn early in the spring. We will be picking corn during the Mill Road Thresherman Show.  Antique machinery will be harvesting corn, grinding corn, and shredding corn at this year’s show.  Come on out and see us work.

We’ve cut wheat and have piled it on trailers ready to thresh during the show. Threshing and baling demonstrations will happen at multiple times all through the weekend.

We have oats planted, ready to be harvested during the show.

Saturday, during the show, the horse farmers will plow some of the ground,  garden tractors will plow ground, and antique machinery will plow and work the ground.  Once the ground has been worked, we’ll plant sunflowers. Want to help? Bring your old tractor out to exhibit and while you’re here, hook onto a plow and help us work ground.
